Colonial Family Day: Bringing in the Harvest

Join us for an afternoon of family fun to celebrate the harvest season. Learn what Colonial folk did with apples, pumpkins and corn to make them last through the winter; make applesauce with fruit from the museum's own orchard; pickle vegetables; and sample food cooked on the open hearth. There will be lots of crafts and activities for children, like making Pilgrim hats and "pin the tail on the turkey." You can also take a self-guided tour of the 1720 historic house, which will be decorated for Thanksgiving. Gingerbread and apple cider will be served for refreshments.

No reservations are needed. Admission is $3 per person.
