Director’s College: Author and Motivational Speaker, Dr. Bridget Cooper

On Wednesday, October 23, author and motivational speaker, Dr. Bridget Cooper, will speak at the Farmington Libraries on her new book, “Feed the Need.” This talk will take place at 7:00 p.m. at the Farmington Main Library at 6 Monteith Drive.

In her recent (2013) book, “Feed the Need,” Dr. Cooper delivers an explanation for and strategies to address the main source of conflict and success shortfalls in our world: Unmet needs. She has spoken to organizations nationwide on this cutting-edge concept, helping them to transform their tactics and approaches to conflict and communication. In this presentation based on the book, attendees will discover how to identify, understand, and feed their core emotional needs so that they can live more harmoniously with themselves and others. The audience will be given the chance to change the way they think about problems, and feel strengthened and empowered to solve them. Books will be available for purchase at the event.

Dr. Cooper earned her B.S. with a concentration in human resource management from the University of Massachusetts, her M.A. in marriage and family therapy at the University of Connecticut, and her Ed.D. through the educational leadership program at the George Washington University.
