Brie McDonald Art Exhibit at Miss Porter's School
Artist Brie McDonald will display a collection of her paintings in the Gilbert Gallery at Miss Porter’s School from February 1 through 28. The Gilbert Gallery is located at 60 Main Street, Farmington. Visitors should check in with the receptionist before proceeding to the exhibit. The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 1:30 to 5:00 p.m.
Ms. McDonald has a B.F.A. from Central Connecticut State University and an M.F.A. from Western Connecticut State University. Her work has been included in shows at the Silo Gallery (New Milford, Conn.), the Artwell Gallery (Torrington, Conn.), the Blue Mountain Gallery (New York City), the Samuel S.T. Chen Gallery at Central Connecticut State University (New Britain, Conn.), and the Farmington, Conn., and Plainville, Conn., public libraries. Ms. McDonald was a recipient of the 2009 Sudexo Scholarship and the 2007 Award of Excellence, BA exhibition.
Founded in 1843 by lifelong scholar and educator, Sarah Porter, Miss Porter’s School is a college preparatory boarding and day school for girls in grades nine through 12.
