Take time out of the holiday hustle and bustle to enjoy a peaceful evening of chamber music among the Impressionist master works in Hill-Stead Museum’s festively decorated Drawing Room. Violist Gebhard Long will be joined by Michelle Davis on flute and Bridget de Moura-Castro on piano for an escape from holiday stress in what American novelist Henry James proclaimed “an exquisite palace of peace, light and harmony.” The trio will play unique arrangements of works by a variety of American and French composers, designed to complement the Pope Riddle home and its collection. A 45-minute reception in the Board Room will precede the performance. Space is limited -- rsvp by December 17.
