TOPIC: REDUCING STRESS THROUGH HEALTY LIFESTYLES
During this BYOL presentation, participants will learn about stress and its correlation with negative health effects and how specific lifestyle changes can help. Relaxation techniques, medication and exercise along with specific foods and supplements can all help in reducing stress and anxiety. Dr. Shepherd will share her insight and knowledge about calming stress and anxiety in your daily life.
Davia Shepherd D.C. received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from The University of the West Indies. Following her undergraduate education, she pursued a Master of Sciences degree in Pharmacology also at the University of the West Indies. She is a suma cum lade graduate of the Nutrition Institute of the University of Bridgeport and holds a Master of Sciences in Nutrition and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from The University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic. She has 12 years of experience working in health care. Dr. Shepherd concentrates on the non-surgical management of patients with musculoskeletal conditions affecting the spine, pelvis and extremities. She also does Nutrition consultations. Dr. Shepherd is a member of the American Chiropractic Association and the Bristol Chamber of Commerce. She is a partner at Saporito Chiropractic in Bristol, CT.
