Connecticut's P.T. Barnum promoted the opera singer Jenny Lind, known as the 'Swedish Nightingale', in her American Tour from 1850 to 1852.  As a tribute to Ms. Lind, Zoe Vandermeer's concert of music from that tour is taking place at the Midday Concert Series at St. Pauls on the Green in Norwalk.  Ms. Vandermeer will accompany her singing on harp in a program of music by Donizetti, the famous Jenny Lind Polka, and songs composed expressly for Jenny Lind.

Zoe Vandermeer is on the performing artists roster of the Connecticut Commission of Culture and Tourism, and is the director of Vandermeer Voice and Arts in Farmington.
