The Farmington Low Vision Support Group welcomes guest speaker Stephen M Thal, who will speak on emergency preparedness for people with special needs, on Tuesday, January 15, from 1-2:30 PM at the Farmington Community/Senior Center. Given the recent storms of magnitude we have had in CT it is a timely topic. He is a leader in working on issues especially those that involve vision and hearing and will be accompanied by his seeing eye dog. He has worked for the Bureau of Rehabilitation Services and Board of Education and for Services for the Blind-State of CT. He has done work as the Education Projects Coordinator in community outreach as well as other roles within the organization. Refreshments will be served.
