Suffering

Day program:  9 am - 1 pm (inc. lunch)  $25 offering


Evening program: 7 pm - 9 pm  $15 offering


Life can be very difficult. Many people, when faced with pain and suffering, cling more closely to God and rely more strongly on prayer. Many others have an opposite response, and abandon any belief in a good God.  This presentation considers the fragility of life, our response to its trials, and what these factors might tell us about ourselvefs and our relationship with God.

Presenter: Sister Elissa Rinere, CP has a doctorate in Canon Law from the Catholic University of America and has worked for many years in the field. Currently she ministers in the Diocese of Norwich as the Coordinator of Pastoral Planning.  Throughout her years of ministry, a main focus for Sister Elissa has always been teaching. She has been a contributor to retreats at both OLC and Holy Family Retreat Center in West Hartford.
