Farmington Libraries Maker Faire

The Farmington Libraries will host its first Maker Faire on Sunday, February 2, 2014, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. This event will take place at the Farmington Main Library at 6 Monteith Drive.

The Maker Faire is full of free opportunities for hands-on learning and demonstrations of what children can create using the tools of the Maker Movement. We will offer an introduction to computer programming, a chance to work in teams on 3D printing projects, teen-led design groups. fun interaction with Little Bits to create circuitry projects, and demonstrations of other maker technology. Is your child already creating projects like these?  Bring them to share! We will have space available for students to showcase their own electrical and mechanical creations, too. We invite Makers of all ages and skill levels to join us for what will be a fun and inventive day at the library!

More information can be found on our web site at: http://farmingtonlibraries.org/. Please contact the library at 860-673-6791 to register your interest or to ask any questions.

The Farmington Library is part of the Farmington Village Green and Library Association.  If you have special needs to attend library programs, contact the library in advance.
