FIRST Junior First Lego League Expo

The Farmington High School Robotics team is hosting the Junior FIRST Lego League Expo at Farmington High School on January 25, 2014. Some 30 teams totalling 250 people are expected from Farmington, Burlington, Glastonbury, Harwinton, and Avon. The children have an opportunity to present the projects that they have been working on through the fall and winter. These students have been working on projects relating to the year’s theme, Disaster Blaster. Teams have explored a range of natural disasters, including storms, earthquakes, and more, while learning about simple machines and motorized LEGO® models. They have been mentored by the high school team. The expo will run from 1pm to 5pm; the general public is welcome to spectate.
