Set on a small island off the Western Coast of Ireland in the 1930's, the inhabitants are excited to learn of a Hollywood film crew's arrival to make a documentary about life on the islands. Billy Claven, eager to escape the gossip, poverty and boredom of Inishmaan, vies for a part in the film, and to everyone's surprise, the orphan and outcast gets his chance. Directed by Hartt Alumnus and Hartford Stage Associate Artistic Director, Max Williams, this dark comedy is sure to enchant it's audience in Martin McDonagh's modern Irish voice.
