Women challenge themselves to Swim, Bike, and Run for the 8th Annual Mandell JCC Women's Indoor Sprint Triathlon Challenge Sunday, April 6, 2014 1:00pm

Greater Hartford female athletes can test themselves at this year’s Mandell JCC Women’s Indoor Sprint Triathlon Challenge on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Mandell JCC, Zachs Campus, 335 Bloomfield Avenue, West Hartford, CT. This event is open to the community and participants can compete as an individual or as a member of a team.
The 8th Annual Women’s Indoor Sprint Triathlon is the perfect opportunity for a beginner to get a taste of the Triathlon experience or a veteran triathlete to measure the effectiveness of her winter training. The challenge consists of a 20-minute indoor pool swim, a 20-minute guided ride on a spin bike, and a 3 mile outdoor run. Returning this year, 12 lucky men are able to participate in the final wave of the event.  The Triathlon is in partnership with Team Training New England and sponsored by Bloomfield Bicycle and Repair Shop. All participants can take advantage of complimentary massages after the race. Space is limited as last year’s event sold out. Registration is required by Wednesday, April 2, 2014. Individual fees are: $30 for the community, $25 for Mandell JCC members and $15 for students. Team fees are: $36 for the community and $30 for members.
