Farmington Girl Scouts Honor Survivors at Relay for Life

Last year as Kindergartners Union School Daisy Troop 66013 decorated the placemats for the people attending the Survivors Dinner at Farmington’s Relay for Life.  This year the girls made beaded keychains for the Survivors.  They had fun creating patterns and mix and matching many colored beads.   This is a cause near and dear to our hearts as we have 2 pediatric cancer survivors in our troop.

About us:  Girl Scout Troop 66013 is currently made up of 17 1st Grade Daisy Girl Scouts from Union School.  12 of the girls have been together since kindergarten.  They are an enthusiastic, caring, creative, passionate and energetic group of girls who love crafts, helping others and singing songs at the top of their lung!  In their two years as a troop they have supported many local groups including Farmington’s Relay for Life, Meals on Wheels, Crayons for Cancer, the Farmington Food Pantry and the seniors at Village Gate. They have sent care packages and cards to our military troops serving overseas and this year officially adopted a troop to help in Afghanistan.  Guided by troop leader Kristi Brouker and co-leaders Ally Mooney and Debbie Szczepanski, this group of girls has many more adventures ahead of them!
