Introducing the Farmington Heritage Alliance

The Farmington Heritage Alliance is a cooperative group of Farmington non-profit groups with a mission to support and promote the non-profit organizations we represent and work together on heritage or cultural-related projects.

Our current members are:

  • The Farmington Historical Society
  • The Farmington Land Trust
  • The Farmington Libraries
  • The Hill-Stead Museum
  • The Lewis Walpole Library
  • Miss Porters School
  • The Stanley-Whitman House
  • The Unionville Museum
  • The Unionville Village Improvement Association

Our most recent project has been a coloring book for children entitled “Explore Farmington!  History Is All Around Us” which highlights places of interest in Farmington and Unionville is now available from any of our members or at our Visitors Center for $4.00.

We also maintain a Visitors Center located at the Stanley-Whitman House on High Street, Farmington which provides information about our members and their properties.

The purpose of this blog is as an ongoing forum for our members to let the public know about current events in their organization which may or may not  have been covered by the media but may be of interest to our neighbors in Farmington.  Each of our member organizations will contribute from time to time so please stay tuned!
