Spiritualism at Hill-Stead Museum

Spend time in the Pope Riddle House after hours and learn more Theodate Pope and Spiritualism. Theodate met and corresponded with several important figures in the field of Psychical Research, including Henry James' brother William James, Sir Oliver Lodge and others. Tour-goers will see letters and other primary documents from the museum's archives, hear about séances Theodate attended, meet costumed interpreters portraying central characters such as the celebrated early 20th-century medium Leonora Piper, and much more. Hour-long tours begin every half hour; $6 members, $12 members-to-be.
