Stuff a Farmington Police Cruiser to Help Families in Need for Thanksgiving

The following press release was submitted by the Farmington Police Department.

On Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013 from 9:30 a.m. until 2 p.m at the Unionville Stop & Shop located at 1799 Farmington Avenue, The Farmington Police Department is hosting our annual Thanksgiving “STUFF A CRUISER” event to benefit the Farmington Community Service’s holiday giving program.  The program provides everything needed for a Thanksgiving meal to families and individuals that are in need this holiday season.  The Farmington High School Cheerleaders along with other volunteers will be there to collect the food and deliver the baskets.  We look forward to seeing you at the event. 

The following is a list of requested items for the “STUFF A CRUISER” event:

·      Small turkey (or $15.00 gift card)

·      Bags of potatoes

·      Bags of carrots

·      Cans / jars of gravy

·      Boxes / bags of stuffing

·      Canned yams / sweet potatoes

·      Rolls

·      Pie shells

·      Canned pie filling

·      Disposable roasting pans

The Town’s Community Service’s Department is also looking for businesses and groups to adopt larger families for the holidays. Please call 860-675-2390 if interested.
