Will Local Chefs, Tebucky Jones, Kevin Negandhi and Joe Zone Wow Rebecca Lobo with Their Cooking?

The three celebrity guests will team up with local chefs to compete in Gifts of Love's annual Ready, Set, Cook! fundraiser.

Rebecca Lobo will be joining The Society Room of Hartford's executive chef on the judge's panel in an Avon non-profit's annual cooking competition fundraiser.

Chip Miller won last year's Ready, Set, Cook! event, hosted by Gifts of Love, so it will be up to him and Lobo to crown this summer's winner.

Chefs Michael Lee of Max's Oyster Bar in West Hartford, Matt Cormier of The Meat House in Avon and Jordan Stein of Pond House Cafe in West Hartford will be paired up with one of the following local celebrities for the competition –  past New England Patriots Super Bowl champion Tebucky Jones, ESPN's Kevin Negandhi or WFSB's Joe Zone.

Fox CT's Rachel Lutzker of FOX and Country 92.5 DJ Cory Myers will emcee the event.

The three teams will have 45 minutes to whip up dishes "using mystery baskets of delicious ingredients," according to Gifts of Love's website

In addition to watching the "culinary showdown," guests can enjoy "tailgate party food," partake in a beer and wine tasting, try ice cream made in the area and enter for a chance to win silent auction items, according to Gifts of Love's website.

The event is scheduled for 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Community Farm of Simsbury, located at 73 Wolcott Road in Simsbury.

Tickets cost $50 and can be purchased online or at Gifts of Love. The non-profit is located at 35 East Main Street in Avon and is moving soon to 34 East Main Street. Donations are also accepted.

For more information on the event or to donate to the auctions, contact Gifts of Love's marketing director Carolyn McGrattan at cmcgrattan@giftsoflovect.org or 860-676-2323.
