Easy Halloween Recipes

Looking for some simple recipes for a Halloween party?

With all the elaborate recipes on Pinterest or the Food Network, sometimes it’s really daunting to make dishes for any holiday! (See “Cookie Monster cupcakes.”)

Fear not! Here are three Halloween recipes that are easy to make (and one that’s a little more fancy).

Chocolate Chip Spider Cookies

Oh this is so easy! Make chocolate chip cookies using your favorite recipe and then while the cookies are still warm, drag a toothpick through the chips to make spider legs!

Butternut Squash Soup with a Spiderweb

Here’s a great butternut squash soup recipe from Brown Eyed Baker. To make it a little spookier, ladle soup into a bowl and put a mixture of sour cream and milk on the top of the soup in a spiral pattern. Then take that trusty toothpick and drag it through the top of the soup to make your spiderweb!

You can use this same spiral-spiderweb trick for the cake you see pictured!

Have you ever seen those really awesome cakes or cupcakes that have a surprise layer or even a fancy design that’s only seen when cut? That’s exactly what’s happening with these candy corn cupcakes and the recipe is simple!

Creepy Halloween Finger Cookies
