Which Woodruff?

It's a hot summer day and I'm in the mood to solve a mystery that has long stumped me. Perhaps you, kind reader, hold the answer.
I live on Woodruff Road, and have long pondered which Woodruff my street honors. An internet search of the Woodruff family of Farmington yields a host of prominent and talented individuals. Matthew Woodruff, an immigrant from England, was one of the first settlers of Hartford and one of the original proprietors of Farmington. His son Samuel held three acres in the vicinity of Woodruff Road. Captain Judah Woodruff built many of the elegant buildings that grace the village of Farmington, including the hall mark structure, the First Church of Christ, on Main Street. A stroll in Fisher Meadows Park reveals that in the 19th century, Mr. Wilford Woodruff left the town of his birth and moved west, where his religious conversion and diplomatic skills led him to become the Fourth President of the Church of the Latter Day Saints. A plaque to Wilford marks the entrance to the park. He would no doubt be intrigued to know that an LDS Church will be built here in Farmington.
So, dear reader, can you solve the mystery? Does Woodruff Road honor the family or an individual bearing that name?
