FHS Boys Soccer Kick- Out Hunger Game a Huge Success

The home opener at Tunxis Mead Wednesday night was a huge success on and off the field as the defending Class L State Champs hosted the Blue Knights of Southington.  A well promoted 2nd annual   “Kick out Hunger” white-out resulted in 306 pounds of food and $865 in cash donations being presented to the Farmington Food Pantry to help our neighbors.  The mission of the Pantry is to provide a respectful, empowering environment where food and household necessities are available to individuals who need assistance in the Farmington Valley community.   The soccer team is proud to support this mission and contribute to our wonderful community that supports the team year after year. The team wishes to express gratitude to the FHS students, parents, alumni, Athletic Department, and fans who helped us reach this goal. Your donations are greatly appreciated!!
