What's On Tonight: The Voice, Bones, Dancing with the Stars

TV tips for Monday, April 9, 2012

The Voice, 8 p.m., NBC

Of the four that were sent packing the only one I will miss is Naia. I liked her persona, her vibe, her voice and her lipstick. And I loved her rendition of Turning Tables and was glad she did not reggae-fy it. Tonight, Team Adam v. Team Cee Lo. I cannot wait to see what Cee Lo does to his hair. Perhaps he will wear the cat.

Bones, 8 p.m., Fox

OK, so I am going to just ignore the whole ‘no room at the inn, she gave birth in a stable” part of last week’s return, and focus on the fact that David Boreanz plays proud new papa better than anyone. Christine Angela! Doesn’t really roll off the tongue, but I love the sentiment.

Dancing with the Stars, 8 p.m., ABC

So Jack Wagner goes home and suddenly there’s a new rule? Really, ABC? Taking a page from SYTYCD’s playbook, the bottom two will now dance for their lives (or ‘dance duel’) as they are calling it) and the judges will make the final call. America speaks, and then … maybe not so much. Not sure what is up with this decision – why not do what Idol does and provide one Judges’ Save per season – ups the drama every week but doesn’t fly in the face of the voters’ wishes too much. Just my two cents.
