Storybooks for Special Needs Children

Books, books, books!  I love them.  My schoolroom is filled to the brim with books of all genres.  I have been collecting them for over twenty-five years.   My home library expanded rapidly when I began homeschooling my children in 1994.  I have so many wonderful memories of family reading nights.  I am thrilled to say that my three adult-children share my love of books.

Books are so powerful!  Lorna d”Entremont, retired teacher, shares five fabulous books which teach valuable lessons, especially for the child with special needs.   These top picks lend themselves to meaningful discussions because a special needs child can identify with the lovable characters.

With the holidays just around the corner, keep these inspired storybooks in mind for the special little person in your life!
