A Message from the Farmington Police Department on Labor Day Enforcement

From Sept. 3 through Sept. 17, officers will conduct a speed enforcement campaign.

This press release was submitted by the Farmington Police Department

With the Labor Day holiday approaching, officers are focusing
efforts on increasing safe driving awareness in order to help reduce motor
vehicle collisions and the injuries suffered from speed induced violations.

Speeding is the #1 motor vehicle complaint from Farmington residents, and a top causative factor in motor vehicle accidents. From September 3, 2012 through September 17, 2012, Farmington Police Officers will conduct a speed
enforcement campaign, targeting speeders with laser and radar. Officers will also target safety belt, child safety seat, distracted driving, and DUI laws.

As usual, we remind the motoring public of the three basic rules of highway
safety:

  • Always Buckle Up
  • Obey Posted Speed Limits and Traffic Laws
  • Never Drink and Drive

On behalf of the men and women of the Farmington Police Department we wish
you all a safe holiday!
