Alleged Use of Brother's Identity Got Man More Charges

Arrests for Feb. 10

Omar Rivera, 28, of 75 North St. Apt. 425, New Britain, was arrested Feb. 10 at the intersection of New Britain Avenue and Roma Drive and charged with interfering with an officer after a suspicious person investigation. He was released on $5,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear Feb. 16, 2011.

Christina Marie Miano, 26, of 50 Eighth St., Newington, was arrested Feb. 9 at Westfarms mall and charged with sixth-degree larceny. She was released on $500 surety bond and scheduled to appear Feb. 19, 2011. Police reports indicate she is accused of shoplifting at JCPenney.

Douglas Popovich, 25, of 90 Savarese Lane, Burlington, turned himself in on a warrant Feb. 9 and was charged with criminal impersonation, third-degree forgery, interfering with an officer and operating under suspension. He was released on $1,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear Feb. 15, 2011. Police documents indicate Popovich is accused of using his brother’s identity during a July 31, 2010 traffic stop to avoid being arrested for driving under a suspended license.

Michael Velasquez, 27, of 1175 Farmington Ave., Apt. 3-202, Bristol, was arrested Feb. 9 at Westfarms mall and charged with second-degree breach of peace and risk of injury to a minor during a domestic incident. He was released on $5,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear Feb. 10, 2011.

Jonathan Alexsandro Estronza, 18, of 63 Bristol St., Hartford was arrested Feb. 7 and charged with second-degree breach of peace. He was released on $5,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear Feb. 9, 2011. According to police documents, he is accused of assaulting someone during an altercation Oct. 16, 2010.
