Bristol Woman Faces Slew of Traffic Charges

Domingo Junior Ortega, 27, of 10 Hamilton St., Hartford, was arrested Jan. 10 by warrant at the West Hartford Police Department and charged with fourth-degree larceny. He posted $2,500 surety bond and was released. Ortega is scheduled to appear Jan. 17, 2012.

Sierra Thomas, 22, of 30 Ridgefield Drive, Middletown, was arrested Jan. 11 at the intersection of Talcott Notch Road and Vine Hill Road and charged with failure to carry registration or insurance identification, failure to obey a stop sign and operating under the influence. She was released on $1,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear Jan. 18, 2012.

Darnell Davis, 30, of 125 Mallard Drive, Avon, turned himself in on a warrant Jan. 10 and charged with second-degree harassment. According to police reports, he is accused of sending harassing text and voice mail messages. He was held on $2,500 surety bond and scheduled to appear Jan. 18, 2012.

Tammy Mendes, 40, of 123 Bedford St., Hartford, was arrested Jan. 10 at Nordstorm and charged with first-degree criminal trespassing and fourth-degree larceny. According to police reports, Mendes is accused of shoplifting at Nordstrom after previously being banned from the mall. She was released on $10,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear Jan. 17, 2012.

Erika Maria Torres, 29, of 357 Burlington Ave., Bristol, was arrested Jan. 12 on the Colt Highway and charged with failure to carry registration or insurance identification, failure to drive right, misuse of plate, operating without a license, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and operating under the influence. She was released on $1,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear Jan. 18, 2012.
