Canton Man Dies in Overnight Accident on Huckleberry Hill

Avon police confirmed Thursday afternoon that Michael MacBeth, 24, of Canton, died following a single-car accident on Huckleberry Hill in Avon overnight. 

MacBeth was the only occupant in the car during the 2:03 a.m. crash early Thursday morning, police said in a press release. Police have not released further information on the circumstances of of the collision. 

An Avon resident reports it happened at the blind curve in front of 510 Huckleberry Hill Road. 

MacBeth was transported to an area hospital, but "succumbed to fatal injuries" there, police said.

MacBeth was a 2007 graduate of Canton High School, friends said. 

"He really was the most sincere kid you'd ever meet," said Jordan Ahlstrom. "He was loved by everyone. He's definitely going to be missed."
