Drugs, Shoplifting Devices Alleged in Westfarms Arrrests

Pamela Jean Facteau, 40, of 55 South Shore Drive, Sturbridge, MA, was arrested April 1 at Westfarms mall and charged with second-degree breach of peace, sixth-degree larceny and possession of a shoplifting device. According to police, Facteau is accused of taking security tags off of clothes and trying to take them from Lord & Taylor. Police said she caused a disturbance when stopped by mall security employees. She was released on $5,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear April 11, 2012.

Miguel Aviles, 28, of 215 Clark St., Hartford, turned himself in on a warrant April 1 and was charged with third-degree identity theft and illegally obtaining prescription drugs. According to police, Aviles was attempting to fill a forged prescription. He posted $5,000 surety bond and was scheduled to appear April 10, 2012.

Edgar Alexander Rivera, 42, of 20 Eaton St., Hartford, was arrested March 31 at Westfarms mall and charged with first-degree criminal trespassing, possession of drug paraphernalia, fifth-degree larceny and two counts of possession of narcotics. According to police, Rivera is accused of shoplifting from Talbot’s and Lens Crafters at the mall after previously being barred from it. He allegedly had heroin and related paraphernalia on him when he was arrested, police said.

Marrangely Ramos, 29, of 8 Robin Terrace, East Hartford, was arrested March 31 at Westfarms mall and was charged with sixth-degree larceny and third-degree robbery. According to police, Ramos is accused of shoplifting and fighting with mall security employees. She posted $5,000 surety bond and was scheduled to appear April 10, 2012.

Heidi Stanchfield, 34, of 52 Cottage St., New Hartford, was arrested March 31 at 362 Scott Swamp Road and charged with operating under the influence. She was released on $1,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear April 11, 2012.

James Lee Perry, 16 Hurlbert St., New Britain, was arrested March 30 on Route 44 in Avon after allegedly fleeing the scene of an accident on Route 4 near Route 10, police said. Perry was charged with evading responsibility, failure to carry registration or insurance card and failure to obey control signal.
