Family Night at the Fireman's Carnival

The carnival opened Thursday and continues tonight with fireworks.

The Tunxis Hose Fireman's Carnival opened Thursday night to crowds of families and local residents. Firefighters served up some great food, managed rides and oversaw the beer tent.

Republican-endorsed Fifth Congressional District candidate Andrew Roraback stopped in, as well as his opponent, Farmington native Justin Bernier, who set up a table next to state Rep. Bill Wadsworth, who was giving away balloons.

Patch spotted some familiar local faces for our photo gallery. We'd love to have you share your photos of the carnival here, too!

The carnival continues tonight at 6 p.m. at Union School. Fireworks are scheduled for 9:30 p.m.
