Operation While Under the Influence

James Preston Selvage, 59, of 93 Sylvan Rd., New Britain, was charged with operation while under the influence and possession of drug paraphernalia with less than a half ounce of marijuana on July 10 at 11:57 p.m. Police also cited him with failure to drive in the proper lane and a first offense of possession of less than one half ounce of marijuana after stopping his car at Farmington Avenue and Monteith Drive. Police issued him a $1,500 non-surety bond and he was scheduled to appear in court on July 17.

Keith A. Larson, 48, of 58 Daventry Hill Rd., Avon, was charged with operation while under the influence on July 14 at 5:27 p.m. and also cited with improper parking. Police said they “found him slumped over the steering wheel” in the middle of the road near the Garden Street and Pearl Street intersection. He was released and issued a $1,500 non-surety bond. Larson is scheduled to appear in court on July 24.

Failure to Appear

Michael John Dunning, 44, of 20 Berkshire Dr., Farmington, was charged with second-degree failure to appear on July 16 at 9 p.m. Police arrested him on a warrant and released him after he posted a $5,000 surety bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on July 24.

Larceny

Paulyna Lee Pham, 19, of 67 Rustic Ln., East Hartford, was charged with sixth-degree larceny on July 16 at 2 a.m. after police said she was “accused of stealing money from registers while employed by Abercrombie Kids” at the Westfarms Mall in Farmington. Police released her after she posted a $2,500 bond and she is scheduled to appear in court on July 24.

Byron Womack, 50, of 127 Brandford St., Hartford, was charged with third-degree larceny on July 13 at 8:55 p.m. after a shoplifting incident at Nordstrom in the Westfarms Mall, police said. He was released on a written promise to appear in court on July 15.

Elia Pinero, 27, 524 Cypress Rd., Newington, was charged with sixth-degree larceny on July 13 at 6:01 p.m. after a shoplifting incident at JC Penney in the Westfarms Mall, police said. Police released her on a $500 non-surety bond and she was scheduled to appear in court on July 24.

Genelle Green, 19, of 40 Stratford Ct., Windsor, was charged with sixth-degree larceny on July 12 at 8:33 p.m. after a shoplifting incident at JC Penney in the Westfarms Mall, police said. She was released after posting a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in court on July 24.

Darius Lesinski, 22, of 14 Abbottsford Ave., West Hartford, was charged with two counts of third-degree burglary, two counts of conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary, sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny on July 12, as well. Police arrested him on a warrant in connection to car break-ins between April 15 and 21in “the Highlands” neighborhood as well as on Orchard Road and Fairview Avenue.

Lesinski also faces third-degree burglary and sixth-degree larceny charges and conspiracy to commit those crimes in a second case; five counts of third-degree burglary and conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary charges, sixth-degree larceny, four counts of criminal attempt to commit sixth degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny in a third incident; and 11 counts of third-degree burglary and conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, eight counts of criminal attempt to commit sixth degree larceny and sixth-degree larceny in a fourth case, police said.

He was also charged with two counts of violation of probation in separate cases on July 12.

Police held him on two surety bonds of $20,000, a third of $25,000 and a fourth of $30,000 for the burglary charges, as well as two $30,000 surety bonds for the violation of probation charges. He was scheduled to appear in court on July 15 for all three cases.

Criminal Violation of a Protective Order

Alyssa Marie Dmytruk, 23, of 502 South St., Apt. C9, Bristol, was charged with criminal violation of a protective order on July 14 at 9 p.m. Police arrested her on a warrant and issued her a $5,000 non-surety bond. She was scheduled to appear in court on July 15.

Assault

Christina Lynn Waskiewicz, 18, of 79 Mckinley Dr., New Britain, was charged with third-degree assault, second-degree breach of peace, drug paraphernalia, operation while under the influence as someone under 21, operation while under the influence, possession of alcohol by a minor, possession of a controlled substance or under four ounces of marijuana and having weapons in a motor vehicle. She was also cited with failure to drive right, an infraction. Police arrested her at the intersection of Scott Swamp Road and Plainville Avenue after a domestic disturbance involving her sister, police said. She was “in possession of an illegal knife,” according to police. Waskiewicz was released on a $5,000 surety bond and was scheduled to appear in court on July 15.

Her sister Rachael Waskiewicz, 18, was charged with third-degree assault, second-degree breach of peace, drug paraphernalia, possession of alcohol by a minor and possession of a controlled substance or less than four ounces of marijuana on July 14 at 12:18 a.m. in the same incident. She was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in court on July 15.
