Farmington Police Blotter: Oct. 23 to 28, 2013

The following information was provided by the Farmington Police Department and does not indicate convictions.

Threatening

Tomasz Smusz, 37, of 43 Field Stone Run, Farmington, was charged with second-degree threatening on Oct. 28 at 11:20 p.m. Smusz turned himself into police on a warrant pertaining to an incident involving a domestic disturbance at his home in August. Police released him after he posted a $35,000 surety bond and he was scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 29.

Robbery

Neftali Colon, 30, of 82 Winter St., New Britain, was charged with conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, sixth-degree larceny, third-degree robbery and conspiracy to commit third-degree robbery on Oct. 27 at 4:38 p.m. Police arrested him after he "struggled briefly with Loss Prevention Officers" following  a shoplifting incident at Abercrombie & Fitch in the Westfarms Mall, police said. He was released on a $50,000 non-surety bond and was scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 5.

Burglary

Jermel Pierre Johnson, 32, of 100 Central Ave., Waterbury, was charged with third-degree burglary and sixth-degree larceny and cited with operating on a suspended license Oct. 27 at 4 p.m.  Police said he "walked to Farmington Motor Sports after being released following a DUI arrest" and "entered the building through an unlocked window and retrieved his vehicle without paying for the towing service. Police released him after he posted a $4,500 surety bond and he is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 5. 

Operation Under the Influence

Paul Anthony Bellott, 27, of 84 Overhill Ave., New Britain, was charged with operation while under the influence and possession of less than four ounces of marijuana or possession of a controlled substance and cited with failure to drive in the proper lane and possession of less than a half ounce of marijuana on Oct. 27 at 2:46 a.m. Police released him after he posted a $1,500 non-surety bond and he is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 6. 

Jermal Pierre Johnson, 32, of 100 Central Ave., Waterbury, was charged with drinking while operating a motor vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia, and operation while under the influence and cited with failure to drive right and a first offense of possession of less than a half ounce of marijuana on Oct. 26 at 10:09 p.m. Police released him after he posted a $2,500 non-surety bond and he is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 5. 

Alexandra Julianna Guerriero, 21, of 37 New Britain Ave., Unionville, was charged with operation while under the influence and cited with failure to drive right on Oct. 26 at 1:55 p.m. Police released her on a $1,500 non-surety bond and she is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 6. 

Larceny

Chantelle Garrick, 21, of 437 Allen St., Apt. 302, New Britain, was charged with sixth-degree larceny on Oct. 26 at 7:20 p.m. after a shoplifting incident at JC Penney in the Westfarms Mall in Farmington. Police released her after she posted a $1,500 non-surety bond. She is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 6. 

Katherin Pareja-Guisazola, 23, of 148 Campfield Ave., Apt. 3, Hartford, was charged with sixth-degree larceny on Oct. 26 at 3:48 p.m. after a shoplifting incident at JC Penney in the Westfarms Mall. Police released her on a $1,500 non-surety bond and she is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 6. 

Erika Alicea, 20, of 391 Main St., Apt. 309, Deep River, was charged with sixth-degree larceny on Oct. 25 at 2:54 p.m. after an H&M incident at the Westfarms Mall. Police released her after she posted a $1,500 non-surety bond and she is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 6. 

Mya Castro-Stevens, 20, of 21 Linwood Dr., Bloomfield, was charged with conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny and sixth-degree larceny on Oct. 25 at 2:18 p.m. after a shoplifting incident at Lord & Taylor in the Westfarms Mall. Police released her on a $1,500 non-surety bond and she is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 6. 

Criminal Trespass

Ciera Spence, 19, of 35 West Raymond St., Hartford, was charged with first-degree criminal trespass, conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, sixth-degree larceny and possession of a shoplifting device on Oct. 25 at 3:42 p.m. after a shoplifting incident at Lord & Taylor. Police released her on a written promise to appear in court on Nov. 8. 

Breach of Peace

Patrick H. Ewert, 26, of 153 Tunxis Village, Farmington, was charged with second-degree breach of peace on Oct. 23 at 3:06 p.m. Police arrested him on a warrant and held him on a $25,000 surety bond. He was scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 24.
