Man Arrested on Public Indecency, Weapons Charges in Farmington

Lovely Street man arrested off Meadow Road Monday afternoon.

An Avon man was arrested Monday after a jogger reportedly spotted him masturbating along a Farmington road.

According to police, Matthew Parylak, 25, of 645 Lovely St., Avon, was seen near a jogging path on Meadow Road. Police said Parylak began driving off and officers caught up with him at the intersection of Garden Street and Pearl Street around 4:30 p.m., where they arrested him.

They found a loaded shotgun in Parylak’s car, police said and had the car towed. According to Lt. Colin Ryan, the gun was likely used for hunting and was stored in the trunk but Connecticut law prohibits the weapon from being loaded.
