Farmington Police Increase Traffic Enforcement Thanksgiving Week

2. Obey Posted Speed Limits and all Traffic Laws
3. Never Drink and Drive
Officers will be stepping up the enforcement of safety belt, child safety seat, speed and DUI laws heading into the holiday season. A highly visible, concentrated effort, will be conducted during the 2013 CLICK IT or TICKET “Day or Night” Campaign. The enforcement period is from Nov. 26, 2013 through Dec. 1, 2013.
The primary area of enforcement will be on Main Street in the area of Bidwell Square in Unionville. However, we will enforce these laws throughout the entire Town of Farmington.
The Farmington Police Department is working in partnership with the North Central Traffic Enforcement Team (NCTE) to educate the community on traffic safety issues. The North Central Traffic Team consists of the following towns; Avon, Bloomfield, Canton, Farmington, Simsbury, Suffield, Windsor, and Windsor Locks. Each of the above-mentioned towns may have officers participating in the Click it or Ticket campaign listed above, and Farmington Officers will be assisting those towns when they have their Click it or Ticket campaigns.
