Farmington Police Log: Sept. 25-27

Thomas Young, 27, of 185 Benefit St., Pawtaucket, RI, was arrested Sept. 25 after turning himself in on a warrant. He was charged with first-degree larceny. According to police, Young is accused of stealing jewelry from a Farmington homeowner who had allowed him to live there for a few weeks. He was held on $75,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear Sept. 25. 

Besnik Fera, 23, of 93 Scott Swamp Road, was arrested Sept. 25 after turning himself in on a warrant. He was charged with violation of probation and held on $10,000 surety bond. According to the state judicial website, Fera appeared in court on a charge of illegally operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs from March 24, 2012 in Farmington. Fera pleaded not guilty but was found guilty in this case, according to the website. He also has a second case pending out of Southington, on charges of second-degree breach of peace and third-degree assault for an incident on Sept. 5, 2012. 

Justin Mark Sloan, 27, of 47 High St., Portland, CT, was arrested Sept. 26 after turning himself in on a warrant. He was charged with second-degree assault with a motor vehicle and operating under the influence. According to police, Sloan was involved in a DUI accident on Aug. 8, 2012, in which two occupants were injured. He was released on $2,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear Oct. 2.
