Police: Man in Possession of Marijuana When Arrested on a Warrant on Charges of Selling Marijuana

Mark Kevin Shover, 30, of 81 Mulberry St., Plantsville, turned himself in on a warrant April 4 and was charged with violation of probation. He was released on $20,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear April 12, 2011.

Christopher Gendron, 23, of 127 Marlin Road, New Britain, was arrested April 6 at the intersection of Plainville Avenue and Wells Drive and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of less than 4 ounces of marijuana. He was released on $1,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear April 13, 2011.

Evan Christopher Godlewski, 18, of 451 Columbus Boulevard, New Britain, was arrested April 5 and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of less than 4 ounces of marijuana and possession with intent to sell. According to police documents, Godlewski was found to be in possession of marijuana while being arrested on a warrant on charges of selling marijuana. He was released on $12,500 bond and scheduled to appear April 12, 2011.

Michael James Ropiak, 37, of 102 Whiting St. Apt. 2, Plainville, was arrested April 5 on the Colt Highway and charged with criminal violation of a protective order. He was released on $2,500 non-surety bond. Police documents indicate he was arrested after he was found with his girlfriend in violation of a court order. He was released on $2,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear April 6, 2011.

Brian Velez, 22, of 44 Levesque Ave., West Hartford was arrested by warrant in Hartford Superior Court. According to police documents, he is accused of burglarizing the gas station at 342 Colt Highway on Nov. 19, 2010 and stealing about $1,000 worth of cigarettes. He was charged with third-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit second-degree mischief, conspiracy to commit fifth-degree larceny, second-degree criminal mischief and fifth-degree larceny.
