Man Guilty of Breaking In, Assaulting Ex, Charged Again in Farmington

A man previously convicted of invading his ex-girlfriend's home and assaulting her has been arrested again for violating the terms of his probation.

Erdan Sejdic, 24, of 304 Cook Ave., Meriden, was found guilty of third-degree assault with physical injury, unlawful restraint in the second degree and first-degree criminal trespassing for an incident in Farmington in June of 2012.

According to court testimony recorded in a 2012 Hartford Courant report, Sejdic forced his way into his ex-girlfriend's house, where she and her new boyfriend were and repeatedly grabbed her by the neck, throwing her around her home.

Sejdic also reportedly damaged some of her property before leaving, police said.

For the incident, Sejdic was sentenced to three years in jail, sentence suspended with three years probation.

Farmington Police charged Sejdic by warrant with violation of probation on Thursday, April 18 at the Wallingford Police Department. He was held on $350,000 surety bond for an appearance in court Friday.
