Man Held in Thefts From Cars

Kevin Austin, 40, of 71 Claire Hill Road, Burlington, was arrested Dec. 11 on Farmington Avenue and charged with failure to drive right, using a hand-held mobile telephone and operating under the influence. He was released on $1,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear Dec. 21, 2011.

Bryce Whitney Painter, 30, of 33 Brookwood Drive, Rocky Hill, was arrested Dec. 11 at the intersection of Farmington Avenue and Interstate 84 and charged with failure to drive in the proper lane, failure to drive right and operating under the influence. He was released on $1,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear Dec. 21, 2011.

Aris Lopez, 21, of 715 Wethersfield Ave., Hartford, was arrested Dec. 10 at JC Penney and charged with fourth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit fourth-degree larceny. According to arrest reports, Lopez is accused of conspiring with two friends to steal approximately $2,000 worth of merchandise from JC Penney at Westfarms mall, where Lopez was working at the time. Lopez allegedly charged her friends only $22 for the merchandise. She was released on $2,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear Dec. 20, 2011.

Anthony Dwayne Ochoa, 29, of 715 Wethersfield Ave., Hartford, and Stephanie Wesolowski, 19, of 48 Forster St., Hartford, were arrested in connection with the incident and charged with fourth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit fourth-degree larceny. Ochoa was released on $2,500 non-surety bond. Both were scheduled to appear in court Dec. 20, 2011.

Richard Laplante, 19, of 15 Custard Drive, Windsor, was arrested Dec. 10 at Westfarms mall and charged with second-degree forgery, interfering with an officer, sixth-degree larceny and possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana on first and second offense. According to police arrest reports, Laplante is accused of shoplifting from Lord & Taylor. When officers arrested him, he allegedly had marijuana on him and twice gave officers a false name during booking. He was held on $5,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear Dec. 12, 2011.

Renato Astolfi, 23, of 45 Belaire Drive, Plainville, was arrested Dec. 10 and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia with less than half an ounce of marijuana and possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana on first and second offense. He was fined $136, $170 and $170 on the charges.

Karen Nicole Mills, 18, 0f 85 Dwight St., New Britain, was arrested Dec. 9 at Westfarms mall and charged with sixth-degree larceny. She was released on a written promise to appear and scheduled to appear Dec. 14, 2011.

Matthew Lynch, 24, of 31 Cope Farms Road, turned himself in on a warrant and was charged with second-degree failure to appear. He was released on $175 cash bond and scheduled to appear Dec. 14, 2011.

Michael Kilduff, 19, of 34 Sandybrook Drive, New Britain, was arrested Dec. 9 on a warrant and charged with conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary. According to arrest reports, he was accused of stealing property from cars on Lexton Drive in November 2011. He was held on $10,000 bond and scheduled to appear Dec. 13, 2011.
