Pair Allegedly Used Counterfeit Bills at Westfarms

Arrests for Aug. 10

Mariana Dominguez, 29, and Mark Sherard Pereyra, 37, both of New Jersey, were arrested Aug. 9 at Westfarms mall and charged with first-degree forgery, conspiracy to commit first-degree forgery, sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny. According to arrest reports, the pair was arrested after trying to pay with a counterfeit $100 bill at Westfarms mall. Both were held on $100,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear Aug. 10, 2011.

Anthony Thomas Figlio, 20, of 4 Terrie Road, was arrested Aug. 8 at 25 Wolf Pit Road and charged with illegal obtaining or supplying narcotics and simple trespass. According to arrest reports, Figlio was found trespassing on school property after officers responded to an alarm. He was found with three adderall pills without a proper prescription, police said. He was released on a written promise to appear Aug. 16, 2011.

Shawntai Shereyse Barnes, 35, of 12 Harding Ave., Bloomfield, was arrested Aug. 8 at Westfarms mall and charged with fifth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit fifth-degree larceny. Barnes was released on $1,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear Aug. 17, 2011.

Onyx Barnett, 20, of 57 Oakland Terrace Apt. C, Hartford, was arrested Aug. 8 at Westfarms mall and charged with fifth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit fifth-degree larceny. Barnett was released on $1,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear Aug. 17, 2011.

Michael Kowalski, 40, of 101 Oak Hill Drive, Bristol, was arrested Aug. 8 and charged with second-degree breach of peace, evading responsibility and failure to drive in the proper lane. According to arrest reports, he was involved in a motor vehicle accident. Kowalski was released on $1,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear Aug. 17, 2011.

Zdzislaw Blad, 48, of 164 Grove St., New Britain, was arrested Aug. 8 on Slater Lane and charged with following too close and operating under the influence. Blad was released on $1,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear Aug. 17, 2011.

Gary Marchesi, 49, of 116 Birdseye Road, was arrested by warrant Aug. 8 and charged with first-degree failure to appear. He was also charged with failure to obey an officer’s signal, interfering with an officer and operating under suspension for alcohol. He was held on $25,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear Aug. 16, 2011.

Carl Marrero, 29, of 505 Emmett St. Apt. B11, Bristol, was arrested Aug. 10 on Farmington Avenue and charged with evading responsibility, failure to drive in the proper lane, operating under the influence and operating under suspension for alcohol. He was released on $1,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear Aug. 17, 2011.

Theresa Fretz, 41, of 22 Bari Lane, was arrested at home Aug. 9 and charged with second-degree breach of peace. According to arrest reports, Fretz was involved in an altercation with a neighbor. She was released on $1,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear Aug. 17, 2011.
