Police: After Failed Attempt, Men Try Again to Burglarize a House

Arrests for April 26

Three men were arrested Monday after a passerby reported seeing them burglarizing a home at 103 Scott Swamp Road, police said. Two of the men had been arrested and released the day before after a neighbor reported seeing them burglarizing 29 Junior Road, police said.

Robert Stewart, 45, of 49 Sexton St., New Britain, George Sawyer, 40, of 19 Jacobs St., Bristol and Brian Stewart, 39, of 42 Woodhaven Drive, Burlington were arrested and all three charged with two counts of third-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary and sixth-degree larceny.

All three were held on bond and scheduled to appear in court. Brian and Robert Stewart were scheduled to appear April 26 for the first incident and all three are to appear May 3 for the second.

Frank Gaccetta, 46, of 470 Main St., was arrested April 24 at the intersection of Main Street and Pequabuck Lane and charged with failure to keep right on a curve or hill and operating under the influence. He was released on $1,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear May 4, 2011

Alberto Melendez, 28, of 1287 Slater Road, New Britain, was arrested April 24 at 42 Two Mile Road. Police said he was charged with criminal violation of a protective order after he was found with his girlfriend during a motor vehicle stop. He was released on $5,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear April 25, 2011.

Michael Rivera, 18, of 21 Linwood Ave., Newington, was arrested at the intersection of Farmington Avenue and Town Farm Road and charged with incorrect number of headlamps and possession of less than 4 ounces of marijuana. He was released on $2,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear April 27, 2011.

Linda Leach, 64, of 56 Mallard Drive, Avon, was arrested April 23 by warrant at the intersection of Brickyard and Wildwood roads and charged with failure to keep right on a hill or curve and operating under the influence in connection with a March 13 accident. She was released on $1,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear May 3, 2011.

Bienvenido Rodriguez Reynoso, 23, of 37 Berker St., Hartford, was arrested April 23 at Lord & Taylor and charged with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny. Reynoso was released on $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear April 27, 2011.

Danyer Mayo-Gonzalez, 22, of 35 Berker St., Hartford was arrested April 23 at Westfarms mall and charged with sixth-degree larceny. Mayo-Gonzalez was released on $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear April 27, 2011.

Diana Cortavarria, 20, of 31 Harold Road, was arrested at home April 23 after a domestic dispute, police said. Cortavarria was charged with second-degree breach of peace and released on $10,000 non-surety bond. She was scheduled to appear April 25, 2011.

Michelle Lekacz, 31, of 216 Belridge Road, New Britain, was arrested April 23 at the intersection of Farmington Avenue and Devonwood Road and charged with failure to drive in the proper lane and operating under the influence. She was released on $1,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear May 4, 2011.

Brandon Donnell, 27, of 2 Park Place, Hartford, was arrested April 23 on Scott Swamp Road and charged with failure to drive right and operating under the influence. He was released on $1,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear May 4, 2011.

Edwin Serrano, 19, of 78 Middlefield Drive, Waterbury, was arrested April 22 at Westfarms mall and charged with sixth-degree larceny after allegedly shoplifting from JC Penney, police said. He was released on $1,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear April 27, 2011.

Bruce John Carlson, 54, of 20 Lincoln St., was arrested at home April 22 after a domestic disturbance. Carlson was charged with second-degree breach of peace, released on $1,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear April 25, 2011.

Kelly Jo Marie Cigman, 34, of 20 Lincoln St., was arrested at home April 22 after a domestic disturbance. Cigman was charged with second-degree breach of peace, released on $1,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear April 25, 2011.

Anjeneke Baker, 27, of 171 Eastern St, New Haven, was arrested April 22 at Westfarms mall and charged with fifth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit fifth-degree larceny and possession of a shoplifting device. Baker was released on $1,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear April 27, 2011.

Alissa Boyd, 32, of 781 George St., New Haven, was arrested April 22 at Westfarms mall and charged with fifth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit fifth-degree larceny and possession of a shoplifting device. She was released on $1,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear April 27, 2011.
