Police: Man Spotted Drinking While Driving

Raquel Ford, 18, 194 Washington St., Hartford, was arrested May 2 at Westfarms mall and charged with sixth-degree larceny. Ford is accused of shoplifting at H&M, affording to police reports. She was released on $1,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear May 9, 2012.

Robert James Retallick, 46, of 312 Scott Swamp Road, was arrested May 2 at home and charged with possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia. According to police reports, Retallick was found in possession of marijuana and related paraphernalia during an investigation. He was released on $10,000 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear May 9, 2012.

Ateala Holmes, 30, of 162 Grayson Drive, Springfield, MA, was arrested by warrant May 1 and charged with issuing a bad check and sixth-degree larceny. According to police reports, Holmes is accused of writing a personal check on a closed account to purchase jewelry at Pandora at Westfarms mall. She was held on $10,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear May 1, 2012.

Thomas Partyka, 57, of 148 Plainville Ave., Unionville, was arrested April 30 at 70 South Main St. and charged with drinking while operating motor vehicle, illegal obtaining or supplying and operating under the influence. According to police reports, witnesses saw him drinking whiskey while driving. When police stopped him, he was found in illegal possession of a prescription medication. He was released on $1,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear May 8, 2012.
