Police: Pit Bulls Attacked and Killed Chihuahua
Dogs belonged to a resident, who allowed them to roam into neighbor's yard, police said.
Two unlicensed pit bulls attacked and killed a Chihuahua at the small dog’s Oakland Avenue home, according to Farmington police.
Police received a 911 call from the dog’s owner, who said two pit bulls were attacking her dog on her front step Tuesday afternoon. According to police, she told them the pit bulls had come into her yard and cornered her dog. She said she called for help when she heard her dog yelping and saw them outside.
The woman told police she tried to bring her dog inside, away from the pit bulls, but they continued to attack the dog and followed her into the house. The woman was not harmed.
