Police Shut Down West Hartford Marijuana Operation
West Hartford Police say they seized nearly four dozen pot plants inside a home — some of which were five-feet tall.
One man is under arrest on drug-related charges after West Hartford Police shut down a marijuana growing operation inside a home.
About 6 a.m. June 23, members of the department's Special Investigation Division along with the Community Interaction Team served a search warrant on a house at 848 Flatbush Ave. after receiving several “anonymous tips” concerning that address, according to police.
Inside the house they found and dismantled a mid-level marijuana grow operation, according to police.
In a statement, police described what they found inside the house: "There was an entire bedroom devoted to the grow operation which included: Hydroponic tents with heat lamps, a ventilation system ducted to the outside, fertilizer, plant food, Mason jars, plastic bags and 46 marijuana plants in various stages of growth up to 5’ tall."
Police arrested a resident of the home, Travis Adams, 28, on charges of sale of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, cultivation of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession with intent to sell near a school.
