A verbal argument in a car escalated to a physical fight between two Vermont men on Lovely Street Thanksgiving weekend, according to police.
As a result, Nicholas M. Gilman, 22, and Alexander Kaiser, 23, both of 4 Arlington St., Apt. 1, in Essex Junction, VT, were each charged with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace on Nov. 25 just before 4 a.m., according to the Avon arrest log.
According to police, the men's car broke down early Sunday morning, so Gilman, Kaiser and a female party stopped the car along Lovely Street in Avon. The two men got into an argument, got out of the vehicle and a brawl ensued.
When police arrived after a passerby reported the incident, both Gilman and Kaiser had blood on their hands and faces, according to Avon Police Lt. Kelly Walsh.
Farmington Motor Sports towed the car.
Gilman and Kaiser were released on $1,000 non-surety bonds and were scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 26.
