Portions of Route 4 Closed During Dream Ride

The annual motorcycle ride to raise money for Special Olympics passes through Farmington this afternoon.

The eastbound side of Route 4 will be closed Sunday from noon to 1 p.m. between Town Farm Road and Route 179 in Burlington so motorcyclists in the Dream Ride can safely pass through, Farmington police announced. 

The westbound lanes will be open but "will not be accessible to traffic south" of Route 4, according to a press release. 

The annual Dream Ride raises money for Connecticut Special Olympics.

The police urge drivers to take an alternate route during this time.
