Sex Offender Charged In Domestic Dispute

Man accused of assaulting, restraining his wife.

A convicted sex offender was arrested in Farmington Monday after allegedly assaulting his wife.

Harry Omar Santana, 35, of 20 Lake Drive, Unionville, was charged with third-degree assault, second-degree breach of peace and second-degree unlawful restraint.

According to police, Santana was arguing with his wife when the fight became physical. She reported that he hit her, then got on top of her, holding her down by the neck and shoulders.

The charge is also the second violation of probation on a conviction for second-degree sexual assault on a victim between 13 and 15 years old when the actor is more than three years older. That incident occurred on Oct. 1, 2003. He was sentenced to 10 years in jail, execution suspended after four years and five years probation. For his first violation of probation, in Sept. 2009, he was sentenced to six years in jail, execution suspended after 18 months with five years probation.

Santana has several other convictions, including for third-degree burglary, for which he was sentenced to four years in jail.

He posted $5,000 surety bond and was scheduled to appear Feb. 19.

Wow, what a catch, a burglar and a sex offender, all in one wife beating package. I hope they keep this moron behind bars for a lot longer than what they've been doing, it's obvious he doesn't get it.

I don't know whats happened to people these days. It is a sick world we are living in. I'm just glad I don't have to deal with whats to come, because it doesn't look like its getting any better any time soon.

Pray to God that none of you men run in to a promiscuous girl, who will lie about her age, just to get involved with you. Second pray to God none of you have to deal with a Bipolar person, that was going true emotional issues, that made them get out of control. Aggression is not acceptable, by all means, but don't judge, if you don't know the true story. Sincerely the wife.
