A 19-year-old Farmington girl turned herself in on a warrant today after allegedly vandalizing police cruisers at an underage drinking party in Devonwood on May 22.
According to police, officers responded to reports of an underage drinking party at 7 Wentworth Park, where they found a group of a dozen 19 and 20-year-olds.
Some of the kids jumped out windows and fled the scene and police pursued them. Several were given underage drinking citations:
Casey Foote, 19, of 23 Butternut Drive, Unionville; Hailey Anne George, 19, of 2 Kempton Mews Road; Anthony Perri, 19, of 111 Perry St., Unionville; and Joseph Sobowicz, 19, of 13 Wentworth Park were charged with interfering with an officer after allegedly climbing out of a window and running from police.
Stephanie Striebe, 19, who lives at 7 Wentworth Park, was charged with hosting and possession of alcohol under age 21. Police do not believe her parents were home or aware of the party.
When police returned to the home, they discovered large scratches on the doors and windows of their police cruisers and a phallic symbol scratched into one window. Police estimated about $8,000 worth of damage was done.
Coryn Wassik, 19, of 12 Burlington Road, confessed to scratching the cruisers with a rock, police said.
She was charged with first-degree criminal mischief and released on $5,000 non-surety bond.
