Teen Faces Charges He Blew Up Farmington Mailbox

A roundup of recent arrests made by Farmington Police.


A teen is facing charges he used an M-80 to blow up a mailbox in Farmington.

According to Farmington Police, Nathan Kowalczyk, 19, of 15 Sycamore Ln., Farmington, was arrested June 28 along with an unidentified juvenile. He was charged with illegal possession of an explosive, third-degree criminal mischief, second-degree breach of peace and conspiracy. He was released on $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court July 8.

Other recent arrests made by Farmington Police include:

June 27:

  • Vy T. Dinh, 32, of 37 Atwood Ln., East Hartford. Charge: Sixth-degree larceny in connection with a shoplifting incident at JC Penney in the West Farms Mall. Bond: $1,500. Court date: July 9.
  • Hector Rosario, 59, 101 Ct Blvd., East Hartford. Charge: second-degree threatening in connection with a confrontation with a girlfriend. Bond: $5,000. Court date: June 30.

June 28:
  • Michal Wojteczko, 22, of 14 Colony Rd. Unionville. Charge: first-degree failure to appear in court. Bond: $5,000. Court date: June 30.
  • Cressie McKenzie, 20, of 30 Townley St., Hartford. Charges: sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny in connection with a shoplifting incident at JC Penney in the West Farms Mall. Bond: $1,500. Court date: July 9.
