What Could Farmington Do to Improve Natural Disaster Relief?

Farmington Valley towns are co-hosting a forum on preparing for natural disasters on Monday and the public is invited to attend.

Within the past few years, major natural disaster have struck Farmington from the Tropical Storm Irene and the October snowstorm in 2011 to Hurricane Sandy in 2012.

So, Farmington and surrounding towns want to get your input on its natural hazard mitigation plan.

Farmington, Avon, Canton and Simsbury officials invite the public to attend a forum on natural disaster planning June 10 at 6 p.m. The forum will be held in Unionville at the Farmington Police Department's Community Room, located at 319 New Britain Ave. The Capitol Region Council of Governments (CRCOG) is co-sponsoring the event.
