Winding Trails Suspect Being Held for Court Date

Mark Tully scheduled to appear Aug. 14 on felony and misdemeanor charges.

Mark Tully, who is making lewd comments to three girls, then cornering and groping a 13-year-old at Monday, is due back in court Aug. 14.

Tully, 56, of 7 Essex Court, Farmington, has appeared in Hartford Court twice, according to the Connecticut Judicial website. His case is awaiting a plea.

He was arrested Monday after the three girls reported Tully’s alleged actions to staff and parents and other people on the beach said the man was behaving strangely. According to Farmington police, Tully was drunk and had two bottles of vodka with him.

Members who were at Winding Trails Monday said staff detained Tully until police could reach the beach and that staff and management acted appropriately in handling the incident. His membership at the private recreation facility has been revoked.

Tully was charged with third-degree sexual assault, first-degree kidnapping, second-degree unlawful restraint, three counts of risk of injury to a child and second-degree breach of peace. Five of the counts are felony charges, while two are misdemeanors.

Tully, who founded and runs Adventus Financial LLC. from his Devonwood home, is still being held on $100,000 bond.

The judicial website also shows he is in the midst of a divorce.
