Woman Allegedly Stole Checks While Cleaning

Maria Zawol, 66, of 127 Farmington Ave., New Britain, turned herself in on a warrant Oct. 11. Zawol is accused of stealing checks from a business while employed by a cleaning agency. She was charged with second-degree forgery and fifth-degree larceny. Zawol was released on $5,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear Oct. 18, 2011.

Luis Rivera-Soto, 26, of 55 Laurel St., East Hartford, was arrested Oct. 10 at Westfarms mall and charged with two counts of sixth-degree larceny. He was released on $2,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear Oct. 19, 2011.

Christopher Tsacoyeanes, 28, of 96 Oak Hill Drive, Southbury, was arrested Oct. 12 by warrant at 12 Batterson Park Road and charged with second-degree failure to appear. He was held on $10,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear Oct. 12, 2011.

Gerald Blejewski, 50, of 833 Plainville Ave., was charged with third-degree burglary and third-degree larceny during an appearance in Hartford Superior Court. According to arrest reports, Blejewski is accused of stealing money and jewelry from a home in July 2011, then pawning the items. He was held on $25,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear Oct. 11, 2011.
