A Hartford woman was arrested Wednesday night after she reportedly drove her car onto the lawn of the Farmington Library.
Diane Jamila Winkleblack, 42, of 33 Sherman St., Hartford, drove her vehicle, an SUV, onto the lawn of the main branch of the library at 2 Monteith Drive around 7:30 p.m., police said.
Library patrons saw the vehicle sitting on the lawn, near the entrance to the library parking lot, and called police, Lt. Marshall Porter said.
When police arrived, they found her sitting in the vehicle with the engine running, Porter said.
She was charged with operating under the influence. Winkleblack was then released on $1,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear March 20.
